VOLUNTEERING WITH OUR ORGANIZATION
Being a volunteer offers many rewards, both intangible and concrete. Volunteers not only gain the satisfaction garnered from the giving of themselves and their time to a worthy cause, they also engage in an ongoing learning process about animal behaviors, animal science, and animal care, discovering how to manage pets effectively in the pet adoption environment. Volunteering is a serious undertaking that requires commitment and caring.
HOW YOU CAN HELP?
Donate your time
Spend some time with the animals, other than the necessary jobs of cleaning, feeding and exercising the animals they all need tender loving care. Donate some time each week to spend with the animals, support those that have not had such a good life, help with training and socialization so we can adopt out animals with positive human experiences
Alaqua Animal Refuge helps to move animals from shelters into refuge situations and
from shelters to homes. If you have a vehicle and time let us know. When the need arises
we will call you. For long journeys we split the drive into legs so each person only
drives 100 miles round trip.
Donate Supplies
We are always in need of supplies. Blankets, Dog beds, cat beds, toys, food, cleaning
